Peter Matthews talks with Tommy Hughes, consultant, and Dwayne Becknell, project engineer about MEIKO USA's TopClean firefighter SCBA decontamination equipment. MEIKO USA's TopClean D is designed to decontaminate the full SCBA, while TopClean M's respirator washer is used to clean SCBA facepieces during a controlled washing. Hughes and Becknell share how the German-made units were adapted for use in the U.S. and explain how TopClean units can be installed in fire stations to begin decontamination efforts.
