May 30--An early morning fire has destroyed a fire station in southern Missouri as well as several department vehicles.

According to a report by Ozark Radio News, the city of Gainesville lost its fire station and the vehicles when the blaze broke out just before 2 a.m. Tuesday.

No injuries were reported, but none of the damaged vehicles or equipment inside the station could be salvaged. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The fire happened roughly a month after the same station at Highway 5 and 160 sustained severe damage during flooding in April.

Officials with the Ozark County Sheriff's Office told Ozark Radio News that more information will be released later in the day.
