Shots were fired at a Texas fire station during a family dinner last week, damaging an apparatus.
The incident happened shortly after 6 p.m. Thursday at the Plum Grove Fire Station, Chief Christoper Loftin said in an online update. What appeared to be three 40-caliber rounds were fired near the station, with at least one round striking and damaging a fire apparatus.
"We do not appreciate this nor the expense that you have placed upon us," Loftin stated.
Firefighters were enjoying a family dinner night with children present when the shooting happened, according to Loftin. No one was injured in the incident.
The Liberty County Sheriff's Office is investigating the shooting.
