In order to provide quicker, more intelligent, and more integrated emergency response, Octave Intelligence announced that the Ontario Police Department and Ontario Fire Department have implemented a next-generation computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system.

The city's management of over 200,000 occurrences annually, resource coordination and usage of real-time intelligence—including integrated autonomous drone operations—will all be much improved by the updated CAD system.

First responders now have quick access to mission-critical information, enhanced situational awareness and streamlined workflows among police, fire and emergency personnel thanks to the transformation of call handling and field coordination for both agencies.

Future features, such as direct connection with Skydio's Drone as First Responder (DFR) ecosystem, will be base. Authorized workers can remotely launch a docked drone in a matter of seconds when a call for service is created because Skydio DFR Command makes the incident location and call type available. In order to help dispatchers and responding units plan safer, more informed responses before making contact, live video, thermal imagery and flight data are streamed directly back into the Octave CAD system. This allows them to support pursuits, search and rescue missions, structure fires, large-scale incidents and more.
