Aug. 3, 2018

Richmond, VA — First Arriving announces the acquisition of the Public Safety Information Network (PSIN) platform from leading digital signage company, Wondersign.

PSIN is a digital dashboard technology that drives internal communication, situational awareness and real-time dispatch information on displays in fire, EMS and law enforcement facilities nationwide. First Arriving CEO Dave Iannone said since offering PSIN’s technology to customers beginning early this year as a distributor for the brand, the feedback and excitement from departments has been overwhelming. He said it made the decision to acquire PSIN easy, because he knows First Arriving will be able to use its savvy to develop even more applications for the technology.

“The PSIN platform gives public safety leadership an easy-to-implement solution to improve communication and consolidate multiple information sources into a single display where it can’t be missed.” said Iannone. “We’re excited to expand its capabilities and positive impact on agencies to keep their personnel informed and engaged.” The displays provide first responders with everything they need to know at a glance in one cost-effective, high-impact solution. The system can be used to showcase: - Real Time Call Notification with Directional Maps & Google Street Views - Live Weather & Severe Weather Alerts - Department News & Announcements - Internal critical updates & information - Road closures - Training Updates & Custom Video Channel - Turnout & Enroute Times - Apparatus & Equipment Status - Crew & Staff Scheduling - Social media feeds - Traffic cameras - And much more thanks to integrations with 35 (and counting) Fire, EMS, law enforcement and other third party technology and information platforms.

PSIN is unique to the public safety space not only because of the variety of compatible platforms and technologies, but also because it utilizes Wondersign’s award-winning UX-design and interactivity. PSIN is also one of the most user-friendly options in the industry, making it easy for departments to maintain and update their information.

Andy Reinhard, CEO of Wondersign, said thanks to their knowledge of public safety space, he knows First Arriving will be able to take PSIN to another level. “Wondersign will stay involved with PSIN by supporting First Arriving with cutting-edge digital signage technology to run a reliable and affordable network of digital dashboards, serving first responders and their critical mission,” said Reinhard.

Ross Hopkins, formerly a top producer at Wondersign, will join First Arriving in the newly-created role of Business Development Manager for Technology Platforms. Hopkins played an integral role at Wondersign building the PSIN brand, and he will be a key player in getting this ever-growing technology into the hands of departments across the U.S. Hopkins said he is thrilled to join the team.

“The talent First Arriving has, and their passion for helping those that help others, is a combination that is unmatched,” said Hopkins. First Arriving continues to evolve in order to solve their customers’ marketing, technology & communication pain points. This acquisition adds a new level of growth to the company. Many new features and third-party integrations are planned, including ties to First Arriving’s website and recruitment platform for fire, EMS and police.
