BRINC, Nova Software Company Partnership Brings Advanced Aerial Mapping

The collaboration between BRINC and Nova Software introduces a comprehensive aerial intelligence platform for emergency responders.

In order to provide first responders with advanced aerial mapping and data processing capabilities, BRINC and Nova Software Company formed a strategic cooperation. Through this interface, drone footage from BRINC platforms may be converted into actionable intelligence by public safety organizations, providing incident commanders with the situational awareness required to plan emergency response operations.

The integration can be used right now by public safety organizations that are already implementing BRINC Responder. Without the need for additional hardware, crews can use BRINC LiveOps to set up a mapping mission, record aerial footage, and submit data straight to Nova for processing. Combining mapping, data analysis, and real-time intelligence, the outcome is a professional-grade operational picture that facilitates quicker coordination, improved situational awareness, and more informed field judgments. Operational continuity is the goal of the integration; agencies invest in the software workflow from the start, and it continues even as the hardware changes.

"Fire departments, law enforcement agencies and emergency response teams are operating in increasingly complex and dangerous environments," says Blake Resnick, founder & CEO of BRINC. "This partnership with Nova gives our customers an immediate upgrade in how they see and respond to critical incidents. And now, with Guardian, we've built the most capable thermal mapping solution public safety has ever had access to."

With Guardian, BRINC's next-generation drone, the collaboration realizes its full potential. Two radiometric HD thermal cameras designed specifically for public safety purposes are carried by Guardian. When paired with Nova's processing software, Guardian allows for the creation of real-time heatmaps and sophisticated data analysis that identifies hotspots, monitors evolving circumstances and provides public safety personnel with the thermal intelligence required to stop escalation and plan safe operations.

"Partnering with BRINC puts Nova's platform directly in the hands of agencies already in the field saving lives," says Robert Atwood, CEO at Nova Software Company. "BRINC's operational platform paired with Nova's aerial intelligence software means incident commanders have better information, faster, and that translates directly to safer outcomes."

With specially developed hardware, an integrated operations platform, and potent data analysis software tailored to the demands of emergency response, BRINC and Nova together provide a comprehensive end-to-end aerial mapping and intelligence solution for public safety.
