Improve emergency response time with Reno A&E’s Automatic Vehicle Identification with the (AVI-911) system. The AVI-911 system allows for hands-free access into secure gated areas. Vehicles equipped with the low-frequency, digitally encoded AVI-911 transmitters emit a short-range signal from the vehicle to the in-pavement loop located near a gate. When the transmitter is above the loop, the signal is coupled to a Reno A&E AVI-911 receiver, which is an auxiliary component of the gate operator. Each vehicle equipped with an AVI-911 transmitter will automatically open gates equipped with a Reno A&E AVI-911 receiver, providing immediate access without delay. The AVI-911 can be retrofitted into any existing gated location.
