Pleiadian Systems' Virtual Reality Honored with 2026 Firehouse Innovation Award

Pleiadian Systems’ Fire Service VR Suite was named a 2026 Firehouse Innovation Awards honoree for advancing firefighter safety, training and performance.

The 2026 Firehouse Innovation Awards recognized Pleiadian Systems' Fire Service VR Suite as one of the best in the fire service sector. This esteemed program honors businesses who provide the fire service with state-of-the-art technology, solutions, and innovative approaches to maintain firefighter safety while boosting productivity and performance. Pleiadian Systems, Inc./VR by PSI was named an honoree by a distinguished and knowledgeable panel of judges from the fire service sector.

“On behalf of the 2026 Firehouse Innovation Awards, I would like to congratulate Pleiadian Systems, Inc./VR by PSI on their honoree status,” said Firehouse magazine Editor-in-Chief Peter Matthews. "This competitive program allows Firehouse to celebrate and recognize the most innovative products and technologies impacting the fire service community.”

Firefighter training is now more realistic and scalable thanks to the Fire Service VR Suite. It offers dozens of prebuilt scenarios and sandbox environments with a range of structure types to increase usage in addition to creating simulated burn scenarios for both interior and outside activities, removing the need for cleanup and decontamination. The system provides training officers with an excellent solution when combined with a variety of customization options, including the ability to save and load situations.

The platform eliminates the expense, logistics, and out-of-service time associated with training at live-fire sites by enabling members to frequently rehearse fireground operations under a variety of scenarios. Using VR headsets, many firefighters and officers can train concurrently from various locations or stations while an instructor uses the CurriculaVR platform to monitor performance, control circumstances, and assess decision-making in real time.

Three programs are included in the Fire Service VR Suite: Fire Rescue VR, Fire Hazmat VR, and Incident Command VR (including MCI scenarios). These programs assess officers' and firefighters' communication skills and command-level decision-making while challenging them on operations, fire behavior, and danger awareness.

Users can monitor progress, develop muscle memory and reinforce abilities by repeating evolutions with instant resets. In order to provide instructors with an accurate record for post-simulation reviews and debriefs, a new function records and transcribes all radio communications. A department-ready Train-the-Trainer framework, VR by PSI's R.A.M.P. — The Realistic, Adaptive, Mastery Pathway for Fire Training Officers develops teacher capability with mission-ready instructional technology and advances your organization toward confident, long-term adoption.
