Capon Springs, WV, Gets Unique Rescue Engine

Capon Springs has taken delivery of a unique rescue engine built by Smeal on an International 4x4 cab and chassis.
Members of the Capon Springs, WV, Volunteer Fire Department have taken delivery of a unique rescue engine built by Smeal Fire Apparatus on an International 4x4 cab and chassis. It's powered by an International DT570 330-hp engine and has a Hale 750 gpm pump along with a 500-gallon galvanneal water tank. Other equipment includes a FoamPro 1600 single-foam system, an Onan 7,500-watt diesel generator a Will-Burt LED light tower, a 16,500-pound front winch and an Akron forestry monitor with a joystick control. The unit was sold by Keplinger Repair Services, Winchester, VA.
