The Mount Horeb, WI, Fire Department recently took delivery of an 85-foot platform aerial built by Pierce on a Pierce Quantum cab and chassis with a stainless steel body and custom paint.

The Mount Horeb, WI, Fire Department recently took delivery of an 85-foot platform aerial built by Pierce on a Pierce Quantum cab and chassis with a stainless steel body and custom paint. The unit is powered by a Detroit Diesel 525-hp engine and an Allison transmission. To fight fire, it has a Pierce PUC 1,500-gpm pump and a 500-gallon water tank with a 25-gallon foam cell and a Husky 3 foam system. Other equipment includes a Harrison 8,000-watt hydraulic generator, Fire Research LED scene lights, a stainless steel bumper, LED fog lights, LED headlights, full height and full depth compartments, outside mounted aerial inlet, full ladder compliment and Whelen warning lights. It also has a Federal Q2B siren, a Roto-Ray, Kussmaul auto-eject battery conditioning system, and a custom white gold graphics package with custom lumi-coat black paint finish.
