Four firefighters were injured when the apparatus they were riding in was hit by a car Sunday.

Aurora Fire Department's Engine 6 was on the way to a medical emergency when the crash happened, the department said in an online statement. The four firefighters in the apparatus were taken to a local hospital, and their injuries weren't considered life-threatening.

The driver also was injured in the accident, but it's not know how serious the injuries were. Aurora police cited the driver for the crash, and the fire department was unsure if the incident was weather-releated.
