Memphis Fire Dept. Gets New 100-foot Aerial

The Memphis, Tenn., Fire Department has taken delivery of a 100-foot straight stick, rear-mount aluminum ladder built by Pierce. It's mounted on a Pierce Arrow XT cab and chassis powered by a Detroit Diesel 500-hp engine.

 The Memphis, Tenn., Fire Department has taken delivery of a 100-foot straight stick, rear-mount aluminum ladder built by Pierce. It's mounted on a Pierce Arrow XT cab and chassis powered by a Detroit Diesel 500-hp engine.

The aerial features Pierce's TAK-4 independent front suspension, front and rear with T3 rear steering. It is also equipped with Whelen warning and scene lights, Kussmaul battery conditioner, Trident folding steps, Zico folding wheel chocks and frontal impact and side roll protection.

It was sold by EVS Mid-South, Memphis.
