Quint 1 Put in Service With LaPorte, Ind., Volunteers

Members of the Centre Township Volunteer Fire Department, in LaPorte, Ind., County, have taken delivery of a Rosenbauer quint with a painted 78-foot Viper aerial.

Members of the Centre Township Volunteer Fire Department, in LaPorte, Ind., County, have taken delivery of a Rosenbauer quint with a painted 78-foot Viper aerial. It's built on a Rosenbauer Commander cab and chassis and powered by a Cummins 470 hp engine and an Allison transmission.

To fight fire, it has a Waterous 1,500-gpm pump, a 470-gallon water tank, a foam system and a TFT monitor at the tip of the aerial. Other equipment includes a front 6-inch intake, a Roto-Ray warning light and a Federal Signal Q2B siren.

It was sold by Sentinel Emergency Solutions, Arnold, Mo.
