The Shipshewana Fire Department has taken delivery of a custom-built 100-foot aerial platform by Sutphen.

The Shipshewana Fire Department has taken delivery of a custom-built Sutphen 100-foot aerial platform on a Monarch chassis.

The Monarch chassis has a six-person cab with a 10” raised roof. It is powered by a Cummins X12 500-hp engine with an Allison Gen 5 EVS transmission.

The pump is a Hale QMAX 2,000-gpm pump with a 300-gallon water tank.

The body is huckbolted stainless steel with roll up and hinged compartment doors with 280 cubic feet of compartment space.

Features include a 10KW Smart Power generator, Hannay electric cord reels, FRC intercom system and FRC lighting.

The platform waterways have Akron 3483 Stream Master2 monitors. The officer's side nozzle is a Akron 3488 pipe with Akron 2499 tips. The driver's side is an Akron 5160 combination fog and straight stream master stream nozzle.
