A Massachusetts ambulance collided with another vehicle while headed to a call Thursday.
The two-vehicle accident happened just before 5 p.m. as the Harwich Fire Department ambulance was responding to a cardiac emergency, the department stated in a news release. The unit had its siren and emergency lights on when it struck another vehicle at an intersection.
Following the collision with the vehicle, the ambulance then crashed into a telephone pole. The impact of that crash briefly knocked out electricity in the area.
No injuries were reported in the incident. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
