Vehicle Collides with CA Ambulance at Medical Emergency

A CARE Ambulance driver suffered minor injuries after the vehicle was struck from behind with a patient inside while responding to a call in Pomona.

A California ambulance driver was injured after the vehicle was struck at the scene of a call over the weekend.

Los Angeles County firefighters and CARE Ambulance responded to a medical emergency in Pomona on Saturday, Loudlabs News reports. Another vehicle then struck the rear of the ambulance after a patient had been loaded inside and still at the scene.

The ambulance driver suffered minor injuries in the collision and was taken to the hospital. No Los Angeles County firefighters were injured in the incident, and the patient was taken to the hospital by another ambulance.

It's unclear how the collision happened.  Pomona police are investigating the incident.
