Car Crashes Through Fence, Lands on CA Ambulance
A Tesla partially landed on top of a Falck ambulance in a San Diego parking lot after it crashed through a fence Friday.
San Diego Fire-Rescue Department officials said the Tesla was leaving a parking garage when the driver accidently pressed the accelerator, sending the vehicle down an embankment, through a fence and leaving the front end of the car resting on an ambulance.
The occupants of the car were told to stay in the vehicle until technical rescue teams could stabilize the car, according to Fox5SanDiego.com.
San Diego firefighters stabilized the vehicle, which was in a precarious position, and then removed the occupants.
Concerned about the vehicle's battery catching fire if it was moved over a rock wall, crews opted to use a crane to remove the car to the ground.
All three occupants inside the car were taken to the hospital, according to 10News.com.
