Woman Hit, Killed by Philadelphia Fire Department Ambulance

The ambulance was headed to an emergency when it struck the woman in the Kensington area of the city.

A woman was struck and killed by an ambulance headed to an emergency in Philadelphia late Thursday night.

The medic unit hit the woman as it made a right turn onto F Street in the Kensington area, NBC reported.

A second EMS crew pronounced the woman dead at 12:01 a.m.

The crash is under investigation.
