Oct. 23, 2017
The Westwood, MA, Fire Department has put two Ferrara rescue pumpers in service.

Westwood, MA, Fire Department has a tradition of maintaining nearly identical engines at both its stations. As the town grows with the addition of mixed use occupancy, it was decided the need for heavy rescue pumpers was required. After research, it was decided to go with Ferrara MVP providing pumping abilities and high storage capacity. Engines 2 and 5 have Cummins 450 hp engines, Allison 3000EVS transmission, 6,000-watt generator, Hale 1,750-gpm QMax pumps, FoamPro 2002 foam systems, and 750-gallon tanks with 30-gallon foam cells.
