The Ardmore Fire Department took delivery of this 1,500-gpm top-mount pumper built by Sutphen recently.
The rig is built on a Sutphen Monarch heavy-duty custom chassis with a 73-inch extended five-person cab with a 10-inch raised roof.
The vehicle is powered by a Cummins L9 450-hp engine, has an Allison Gen 5 EVS3000 transmission and a Leece Neville 420-amp generator.
It features 10-inch double domex frame rails at 110K PSI, with a front axle and suspension at 20,000 pounds and rear axle and suspension at 27,000 pounds.
The Hale QMAX 1,500-gpm single-stage pump is supplied by a 1,000-gallon water tank. The rig has two 2-inch speedlays.
The Sutphen 3/16-inch extruded aluminum body includes over 246 cubic feet of total compartment space and includes Amdor roll-up compartment doors.
Features include an 18-inch formed steel channel bumper extension, a Hiviz 72-inch brow light, Guardian Elite LED scene light, Firetech FT-X-15-F-W Tele Lights, Sigtronic 5 position headset for intercom and a FRC Inview Trueview camera.
Emergency warning includes a Federal Q2B siren and a Whelen Freedom LED Lightbar.
