The Poquetanuck, CT, Fire Department, in Preston,recently took delivery of a 2018 KME water tanker. It is built on a two-door international cab and chassis. It is powered by a Navistar 475-hp engine and an Allison 4000EVS transmission.To fight fire, it has a DSD1000 23-L Hale pump and a 3,000-gallon elliptical tank with a stainless steel wrap. It also has a Kussmaul auto-eject battery conditioner, 10-inch side and rear dump valves and a Federal Signal Q2B siren.
