Oberlin Fire Department in Oberlin, OH has taken delivery of a Midwest Fire Tanker-Pumper built on a Freightliner 114SD chassis with a Cummins L9 400EV HP engine and an Allison 3000EVS transmission. To fight fire, it has a 3,000-gallon polyproylene tank and a Waterous CSU 2,000-gpm split-shaft pump. It is also equipped with 10-inch Newton dump valves and 18-inch telescoping chutes, a Zico electric portable tank carrier and a 3,500-gallon portable tank. Other features a Federal Signal Q electronic siren, Whelen LED traffic advisor and a Kussmaul battery conditioner with manual connection.
