Ocean View Vol. Fire Co., Dennis Township, NJ, Gets 3,000-Gallon Tanker

Ocean View Volunteer Fire Company, Dennis Township, NJ, put a 3,000-gallon tanker-pumper built by Pierce Mfg on a Peterbilt cab and chassis. It is powered by a Cummins ISX-15 565-hp diesel engine and Allison 4000EVS transmission. To fight fire, it has a 3,000-gallon UPF Poly III water tank, Trident Air primer and a 3,000-gallon Fol-Da-Tank with a Zico lift rack. It is also equipped with a Kussmaul auto-eject battery conditioner, Amdor roll-up doors, Whelen warning and scene lights and siren as well as a Federal Q2B mechanical siren. The unit cost approximately $450,000.
