Cologne, MN, Fire Dept. Puts 3,000-gallon Tanker in Service

The Cologne, MN, Fire Department has placed in service a 3,000-gallon tanker built by Midwest Fire on a Kenworth T400 cab and chassis.

The Cologne, MN, Fire Department has placed in service a 3,000-gallon tanker built by Midwest Fire on a Kenworth T400 cab and chassis. It is powered by a PACCAR PX-8 engine and an Allison transmission. To fight fire it has a 3,000-gallon polypropylene tank and a Hale MBP 1,000-gpm pump with side controls. Other features on the 29-foot long apparatus includes a Zico electric portable tank carrier and a 3,000-gallon portable tank, Whelen warning and scene lights, Kussmaul air and battery conditioner and a RearView Safety camera.
