New Albany, PA, Puts Wetside Tanker in Service

New Albany, PA, Volunteer Fire Department, in Bradford County has taken delivery of a 2019 Sutphen wetside tanker built on a Kenworth T800 cab and chassis. It is powered by a 505-hp Cummins X15 diesel engine and an Allison 4500EVS automatic transmission. To fight fire, it has a Hale QFLO125, 1,250-gpm pump and a 3,000-gallon UPF Poly Tank III. It is also equipped with a Class 1 Total Pressure Governor, a rear Newton dump valve, a Trident air primer system and a Kussmaul auto-eject battery conditioner. Other features include Amdor roll-up doors, slide-out tool trays, LED compartment light, Whelen scene and warning lights and a swing down Fol-da-Tank bracket.
