The Munson Fire Department in Chardon has taken delivery of a 2,000-gallon tanker by Midwest Fire on a Freightliner chassis.

Midwest Fire built this tanker for the Munson Fire Department in Chardon on a Freightliner chassis.

The rig is built on a Freightliner M2-112 chassis and with a Kussmaul air and battery conditioner.

The body is All-Poly construction, “sweep-out” compartments, ROM anodized aluminum roll-up doors and Floor Dry decking.

It is equipped with a 2,000-gallon Polypropylene tank and a Hale Q-Max XS 2,000-gpm split shaft pump

Water supply features include two 2 1/2-inch Fireman’s Friend direct tank fill valves and a Newton 10-inch stainless steel swivel dump with electric valve and a 36-inch manual telescoping chute. Water supply can be monitored with an SL “Plus” series tank level gauge on the pump panel and a “Monster” gauge on each side of the rig.

The rig has a Zico electric portable tank carrier and a 2,100-gallon portable tank.

A Whelen LED warning light package includes a Whelen Freedom lightbar with Opticom emitter, six Whelen M9/M6 V2R series combination LED scene lights/flashers, plus Whelen PCH2P LED telescoping scene lights, Fire Tech, HiViz LED mini brow light.
