Oberlin, OH, Fire Department has taken delivery of a Midwest Fire side control tanker-pumper built on a Freightliner 114SD chassis powered by a Cummins L9 400-hp EV Engine and an Allison 3000 EVS transmission. To fight fire, it has a Waterous 2,000 gpm pump and a 3,000-gallon APR polypropylene tank, Other equipment includes a Zico electric portable tank carrier and a 3,500-gallon portable tank, a Federal Signal electric Q siren, Kussmaul battery conditioner and a Whelen LED traffic advisor.
