A Spanish Fork fire truck caused a chain-reaction crash involving multiple vehicles after sideswiping several cars while responding to an accident on Interstate 15.
The Spanish Fork fire truck was responding to an injury crash northbound on I-15 Thursday morning when the accident happened involving a total of nine vehicles.
The first two vehicles that were struck had a woman and four children in each car who were transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Three firefighters on the truck were also taken to the hospital as a precaution, KSL.com reported.
Law enforcement officials were unsure if the truck was driving too close to the vehicles or if a vehicle sticking out into the lane was responsible for the crashes.
