Civilian Killed in Cumberland County, NC, Ambulance, Truck Wreck

The two EMS personnel in the Cape Fear Valley Health ambulance were not seriously injured.

A wreck between an ambulance and a pickup truck in Cumberland County left a woman dead Tuesday night.

The ambulance was slowing to turn left into a driveway when the driver of a Dakota truck tried to pass. After the collision, the truck went off the road and hit a tree, WRAL reported.

Kristi Boyer, 42, the truck driver, died of injuries at a hospital.

The EMS personnel from Cape Fear Valley Health and passengers in the truck did not suffer serious injuries.
