Ex-WV Firefighter Pleads Guilty to Rape in Station

The former Danville and Charleston firefighter plead guilty to sexually assaulting a 16-year-old in the bunk room at the Danville fire station.

A former Danville firefighter plead guilty in connection with a sexual assault that happened at a firehouse last year.

Officials said Christopher Osborne, 26, used his rank to assault the 16-year-old girl at the Danville fire station in January 2021.

At the time of the rape, he was also a part-time police officer in Marmet, according to WCHS

He was a rookie firefighter with the Charleston Fire Department and was terminated after they were made aware they he faced two counts of second-degree assault stemming from other incidents. 

Osborne faces up to 14 years in prison and is required to register as a sex offender.
