Firefighters at Indianapolis Fire Station 13 were treated to some pizza today while they were working on the station.
Several boxes of Dominos pizza were made available to the crews from Engine 13, Ladder 13 and Battalion 13 at their busy West Ohio Street fire station. The crews had been doing work to the exterior of he structure.
A note was left on one box and it read: "Firehouse #13 - Drove by and saw it was a work day....still remember how you saved our home from the Cosmopolitan fire a few years ago. Thanks for all you do - Kris Jernstedt."
The Cosmopolitan fire destroyed a massive apartment complex that was under construction near downtown in early 2009.
The fire department wrote on their Facebook page: "A grateful citizen knows a hungry firefighter when she sees one."
