AZ Department Features Its 2018 Baby Boom

A ladder apparatus was needed to make sure the 42 babies born last year with parents in the Phoenix Fire Department could all fit in the photo.

Calendars might say it's well into 2019, but the firefighters at the Phoenix Fire Department weren't through celebrating 2018.

In a photo posted over the weekend, the department featured the 42 babies  including two sets of twins  who were born to personnel last year. All of the babies were dressed in turnout coats, and they were posed to spell out "PFD."

A ladder apparatus was used so that the photographer was high enough to get the tykes in frame, KPHO-TV reports. But the real challenge was making sure babies sat still in order to capture the moment, firefighters told the TV station.

The new photo actually was take two for some of the kids, expanding on an earlier image that showcased eight '18 department babies. Now, the department is considering turning the baby photo into an annual event, according to KPHO.
