Moments after being involved in a motor vehicle accident, and just moments before going into labor, Megan Warfield rushed to the overturned vehicle and provided comfort to the injured driver until units arrived.

Megan Warfield, a volunteer firefighter with the Bowleys Quarters, MD, Volunteer Fire Department and a career Baltimore County firefighter, was on her way home after hosting an annual golf tournament in honor of her late father when she and another vehicle were involved in a serious crash, according to a BQVFD Facebook post.

Despite her pregnancy, Warfield didn't hesitate before springing into action.

After making sure her mom, who was driving the car, was okay, she immediately exited her mangled vehicle and began providing care to a person trapped by their overturned car.

Warfield stayed with this patient until Squad 213 arrived to free the victim.

Warfield told WMAR 2 that she then started having some cramps and dizzy spells, so she headed to Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Less then 24 hours later, Warfield gave birth to her third child, a baby girl named Charlotte.
