DC Firefighter Meets Elderly Woman He Saved

DC firefighter Da'Von McRae got a chance to meet 73-year-old Betty Carter after helping her down a ladder during a massive fire last week at a senior apartment complex.

The 21-year-old McRae has put in just over a year on the job and is the son of fallen DC fire Lt. Kevin McRae, who died in the line of duty in May 2015.

"He'd be proud of me," McRae told WJLA following his first rescue.
