A new program offered by the Fairfax County Public School District gives students the opportunity to learn firefighting skills.
The new program affords student to the opportunity to receive the same academic and hands-on training firefighters receive.
The fire academy is one of six academies that give the students the opportunity to explore career opportunities. Students from all 26 Fairfax County Public Schools have access to the program, Fox 5 Washington DC reported.
