Ex-Flagler County, FL, Medic Sentenced for Sexual Assault of Unconscious Patient

Police found a video of the victim being molested in the back of the Flagler County Fire Rescue ambulance.

A former Flagler County paramedic was sentenced to 10 years in prison Monday for sexually assaulting a patient in an ambulance.

James Melady, 38, was convicted of sexual battery in connection with the 2021 incident.

Daytona Beach detectives discovered a video of Melady setting up a camera, adjusting it and touching the woman, WESH reported. 

The victim told police she wasn't aware she was molested while being transported.

Deputies said there may be other victims.
