One person was seriously hurt Wednesday afternoon in a Bronx four-alarm fire that may have been caused by a lithium-ion battery explosion, the FDNY said.

The first 911 caller, at 12:26 p.m., reported an explosion on the third floor of a five-story apartment building in Norwood on E. 209th St. near Parkside Place, the FDNY said.

When firefighters arrived, black smoke was billowing from the windows, with fire on the second and third floors.

Firefighters are still battling the blaze.
