TRENTON - Two fires, both of suspicious origin, erupted in the city yesterday morning. One heavily damaged two homes on Bond Street. The other, in the Munoz-Rivera Elementary School, forced the evacuation of the school.

The first blaze began in the rear shed of a vacant house at 57 Bond St. Flames rapidly consumed the rear of that home and started to spread to the occupied house next door, 55 Bond St., fire officials said.

Two juveniles on their way to school knocked on the door of the occupied house and alerted the residents, identified by officials as Mr. and Mrs. Grady Coon.
