The Willingboro woman who surrendered to Philadelphia police yesterday for allegedly kidnapping a newborn baby in 1997 and setting a house ablaze to cover up the crime was convicted of setting fire to a Hamilton doctor's office in 1996, authorities said.

Before Carolyn Correa, 42, surrendered to authorities yesterday, township police were assisting Philadelphia investigators in locating her, police spokesman Capt. Kevin Pollard said.

Correa pleaded guilty in June 1998 to setting a November 1996 fire that caused minor damage at a White Horse Avenue doctor's office where she worked. She received five years of probation and community service for the plea, officials said.
