Three Warren County firefighters were injured fighting a wind-fueled fire Monday.
The occupants and their pets had escaped safely.
Firefighters focused their efforts to protecting exposures, including an outside propane tank that had vented from the fire and heat.
Flying embers ignited a pick up truck and an SUV, as well as hay bales and a couple acres of woodland. Crews from Va. Department of Forestry assisted.
Two firefighters suffered burns to the face and hands, while another had a twisted knee. They were released after treatment at Warren Memorial Hospital.
The fire is being investigated by the Warren County Fire Marshal’s office.
