A North Robertson volunteer firefighter who responded to a tobacco barn fire was later charged in connection with the fire.
The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office arrested David Allen Akers, 34, who faces charges in the Cedar Hill fire, according to The Tennessean.
Akers responded to the Oc. 16 fire, which investigators determined was arson.
“Our team did a great job working with the community to solve this case,” Chief Deputy Michael Van Dyke stated in a release. “We appreciate the cooperation of North Robertson Fire Department. They were instrumental in our investigation.”
Akers was being held on $20,000 bond.
