Two Manchester firefighters suffered non-life threatening injuries battling an apartment complex fire on Thanksgiving night.
According to the television station WMUR 9, one of the firefighters suffered burns and was hospitalized. Injuries to the second firefighter were described as minor.
The television station reported that six families were displaced by the two-alarm fire that occurred on the city’s West Side.
A rabbit and four dogs were rescued by fire crews, the station reported. Fire traveled easily in the walls and into the attic because of the old construction style, fire officials told WMUR.
The cause of the fire appears to have been caused by the careless disposal of smoking materials in one of the apartments.
