MD Warehouse Fire Causes $1.5M in Damages
Firefighters in Upper Marlboro battled a warehouse that caused $1.5 million to a business that rents scaffolding, bleachers, and seating for events.
According to the web site WTOP.com, the fire was reported at the B&K Rental Co. at about 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, and firefighters were still on the scene more than 24-hours later, still extinguishing hot spots at noon on Sunday.
Prince George's County Fire Department Spokesman Mark Brady told the website that parts of the building had collapsed as a result of the fire.
WTOP reported that The White House, the Cherry Blossom Festival and several area universities were some of the rental businesses top clients.
