Fire Prevention & Safety Grants' Application Period Opens Soon

Starting next week, FEMA will begin accepting applications for the fiscal year 2019 Fire Prevention and Safety Grants, which have $35 million in funding available.

The application period for FEMA's Fire Prevention and Safety Grants for fiscal year 2019 opens next week.

The federal agency will begin accepting applications at 8 a.m. ET Monday, April 27. The period closes at 5 p.m. ET May 29.

With $35 million in funding available, the Federal Emergency Management Agency's Fire Prevention and Safety Grants are part of the agency's Assistance to Firefighters Grants. The program supports projects that enhance safety for firefighters and the public from fire and related hazards, and its primary goal of the Fire Prevention and Safety Grants is to reduce and prevent injuries and death among high-risk populations.
