Former TN FF Charged with Arson

Fire investigators with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation have arrested a Lexington man in connection with multiple fires in a Jackson home.

A former Madison County firefighter was arrested in connection with an intentionally set house fire in Jackson last week. 

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation special agents, along with the Madison County Fire Department worked to investigate multiple fires in a structure on the 180 block of McLeary Road in Jackson on Jan. 29. The fire investigators were able to determine the fires had been intentionally set. 

During the investigation, agents established information that identified then-firefighter Jason W. Greer as the individual responsible for the fire, according to a press release from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

Greer, of Lexington, is no longer employed with the Madison County Fire Department and has been suspended from the Henderson County Fire Department.

Greer was arrested by agents on charges of Arson, Vandalism, Filing a False Report, and Burglary.  He was booked into the Madison County Jail.
