ST. FRANCIS, Wis. --
Cudahy police said two St. Francis firefighters helped thwart a group of thieves.
Officers said the incident occurred at the American Advance Cash store in the 4600 block of Whitnall Avenue at about 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
Investigators said the firefighters saw a woman being robbed of a bag of money.
The woman works for American Advance Cash, and the money was a deposit.
Police said the firefighters drove after the robbers in their ambulance but eventually lost sight of them.
Cudahy officers said they eventually arrested two men with criminal histories and are looking for a third man.
Detectives said the incident ended in about 10 minutes.
The woman was not injured and police said the men were not armed.
Officials said Cudahy officers arrested the men because the chase ended in Cudahy but that St. Francis police are in charge of the investigation.
