Texas Firefighter Hurt While Battling House Fire

HOUSTON --

A firefighter was hurt when he battled flames at a northwest Harris County home on Wednesday, KPRC Local 2 reported.

Cypress-Fairbanks firefighters fought the fire at a home on Warren Road near Woodland West Drive at about 7 a.m.

One firefighter suffered second-degree burns on his feet. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Neighbors used their garden hoses to try to put out the fire.

The home sustained major roof damage.

The fire appeared to have started in a front bedroom. The cause is under investigation.
