Fire was spreading and vented out of a delta side window when tones were sounded for a fire at 3400 1st Avenue in the City of Richmond.

Just before noon on May 2, Richmond responded with Quint 15, Truck14, Quint 16, Quint 11, Rescue 1, and Battalion 1.

Quint 15's crew arrived on the scene and reported heavy smoke visible from a one story duplex, and fire showing from a D-side window. Crews performed a forced entry through the front door and made a push down the hall in high heat and heavy smoke conditions.

Truck 14's crew performed ventilation and forced the remaining doors. Personnel off Quint 16 advanced a back-up line.

Rescue 1 searched the house and checked the exposure for fire spread, and the crew of Quint 11 was the RIT.

The cause is under investigation
