NEW ORLEANS --

A blazing FEMA trailer ignited nearby homes at the 1200 block of S. Genois St. Tuesday.

At 5:52 a.m., the New Orleans Fire Department responded to the blaze. Firefighters said the trailer was fully engulfed when they arrived, and ignited two other homes nearby.

A second alarm was struck and firefighters said they were able to save the nearby homes, which received minor damage, but the trailer was completely destroyed.

None of the dwellings were occupied and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
