PRINCESS ANNE, Md. --
A young girl is dead after a fire ripped through her Princess Anne home around 5 p.m. on Friday.
The State Fire Marshal's office said 7-year-old Dejaiya Jones died from injuries sustained in the fire after she was pulled from the second-floor window of the burning house.
Relatives said a neighbor rescued the girl's 97-year-old great-grandmother before firefighters arrived.
The fire is under investigation.
